Happy July! I hope this blog post finds you in a serene beach setting, where you can unwind with your favorite beach read, SPF protecting your skin, and a refreshing sparkling water by your side. When I’m at the beach, I can’t help but let my mind wander and indulge in daydreams.
But let me ask you something:
Have you given up on your daydream?
You know, the one that’s audacious and bold and makes you question ‘who the heck do you think you are’?!? Is it at the forefront of your mind, and are you actively pursuing it? Or has it become buried deep within, almost forgotten but not entirely gone?
What if this season of your life breathes new life into your daydream? As though the goddess of dreams is whispering, “it’s time, my love.”
The dreams you had in the past may or may not align with your dreams today. You won’t know unless you take some time to contemplate, infuse them with energy, and take action. When we put pen to paper, remarkable things can happen. Our subconscious can guide us, revealing possibilities we never thought were within reach.
I know what you’re thinking: “I’m way too busy for this nonsense!”
Believe me, I understand. I was once in your shoes. Life was hectic, and then it became even more demanding. The pandemic struck, and my son faced significant challenges. It was heart-wrenching, and that’s when I made the decision to leave my corporate job.
Was I scared? Absolutely!
I had to let go of the steady paycheck, the prestigious title, the 401k, and the stock options. “Scared” would be an understatement. But my dream became bigger than my fears. Much bigger. And you know what? My income is now on track to surpass what I earned in the corporate world. Can you believe that?
Now, let’s talk about you…
Here’s how you can pursue your dreams:
First, give yourself permission to explore what your precious heart truly desires. What do you want to do with this beautiful life of yours?
Start making a list. Write down all the possibilities. Group similar ideas together. Focus on your natural talents, the areas where you shine. What comes effortlessly to you? What could you do for hours purely out of love? Let this list be dynamic and ever-evolving.
Next, make a list of WHO, not HOW. Who can support you? Who do you know that can open doors, make introductions, or help you if only you’re brave enough to ask? If you’re entering a new field, who is already doing what you aspire to do? Reach out to them. Learn about their experiences, their passions, their advice.
Take action. Start connecting with people who will propel you forward.
Continuously sort and sift through your ideas. Your diamond-like idea is waiting for you. It’s tailor-made for you, and it sparkles with joy!
I want to remind you that you’ll inevitably get caught up in the busyness of your job and the demands of everyday life. I know you believe you don’t have time, and I acknowledge that. However, let’s not leave any regrets on the table. If you have a desire, the universe has a plan for you. Trust in that plan.
So, my friend, don’t quit your daydream. Embrace it, explore it, and let it guide you towards a life of fulfillment and purpose. You deserve it.
